Shredding Days

GSB Customers: Safely dispose of confidential records.

Our 2020 Shred Days have been canceled.

We apologize, but our concern over hosting an event with large crowds outweighs our disappointment in not being able to offer this free community service we have provided for the past 20 years.

We do hope to provide our Shred Day Services again in 2021.

There are links at the bottom of this page with alternative options for paper shredding services.

For years, Glenview State Bank has been proud to offer shred days. Our shred events allow customers to securely dispose of paper documents, cancelled checks, files and other papers that are no longer required for personal records.

Paper is shredded on site, and participants do not need to park or leave their car. Our shred crew will do all the heavy lifting!

GSB customers may bring up to 2 boxes or 4 shopping bags of paper documents. Materials should be placed in paper bags (not plastic) or boxes/containers that will be returned to the owner.

Shred Days are customer events.

If you are not a bank customer, the Northfield Township offers shredding throughout the year. Their schedule of events can be viewed at this link.  (their location has been moved to Northbrook)

The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) also provides a list of both document and electronic destruction events on their site.

Weather Information:

In the event of inclement weather, our Shred Crew will continue to provide service as long as it is safe to do so. If there is any safety threat (lightning, etc.), we reserve the right to temporarily suspend shred service or in extreme situations, cancel the event.
