Prevention Resources & Trending/Ongoing Scams

With the help of our partners at Cyber Scout, our Fraud Press Room will provide you up-to-date blogs, newsletters and alerts focused on every aspect of identity theft and fraud issues.

In addition, the GSB Press Room will provide important links to other helpful resources, and will also spotlight any and all current scams we hear about happening in our area. Knowledge (and the sharing of that knowledge) is you best weapon against the crime of identity theft.

Free Paper Shredding Days

Proper destruction of confidential information is an important step in preventing identity theft, the fastest growing crime today. GSB hosts events annually where customers may bring up to 25 lbs. of documents to be securely destroyed. Drive-thru service allows people to remain in their cars as our staff removes the items for shredding in on-site industrial trucks. The Bank started the free shredding days over 15 years ago. Each year we serve thousands of customers and shred close to 100,000 pounds of paper. Learn More
