Celebrate 100

On May 17, 1921, Glenview State Bank was born.  For the past 100 years, GSB has enjoyed the privilege of serving Glenview and its surrounding communities as an Independently-owned financial institution.

We have reached many milestones along the way; employing hundreds of incredible professionals, building new branches, introducing new technologies and taking pride in supporting causes, organizations and people throughout the communities we serve.

Our hope, of course, was to fill 2021 with lots of fun anniversary events for our staff and for our customers and for our communities.  COVID-19 has changed our priorities and we will choose to celebrate safely for now and have faith that we may look forward to celebrating our 100 year anniversary in the future.

In the meantime, we thought we would share some photos with you that span the past 100 years of Community Banking The Way You'll Remember It.

Whether our tagline has said "75 Years of Caring and Sharing", "Community Banking The Way You'll Remember It", "Sometimes Smaller is Better", or "Believe in a Better Way.  Believe in a Better Bank", our focus for 100 years can be rolled up into two quotes from the past two generations of leadership:

"Service is not a gimmick - quality customer service is the cornerstone and essence of everything GSB has to offer."  John E. Jones (Chairman Emeritus)

"We believe in giving back to the community.  It's not only our place of business, it's our home, too."  Paul A. Jones  President & CEO
